“An ambitious course correction”
We’ve been lazy. We’ve had good reasons… but those reasons were tinged with fear that was convincingly masquerading as logic, pragmatism, and patiently waiting for perfect timing.
This week we acknowledge where we’ve gotten stuck in inner conflict and catastrophic thinking and where we’ve inadvertently imprinted that fear and stagnancy onto our lives and our relationships.
We finally see through our own mental gymnastics and admit that we’ve been feigning ignorance, pretending we don’t know what action to take and therefore giving ourselves permission to remain stagnant.
But there’s a tender undercurrent to this realization of our own self-sabotage. We’re potentially so terrified to take action because of how painful a potential disappointment would be. Our souls care that deeply.
This week brings an ambitious redirect where we can admit to ourselves that our inaction is more painful.
We feel a humble ability to admit that we’ve dug ourselves a hole, and then we’ve avoided looking at just how deep it got.
With this newfound humility, we also recognize that we have all the tools at hand to springboard ourselves into a whole new reality by choosing to dig ourselves out.
I hope it brings us a welcome boost to take an action we’ve been avoiding.
