“A Wholesome Pitstop”
We're tired. We're part way through a marathon, with significant ground yet to cover, but we're approaching a nourishing pitstop to refuel ourselves both physically and spiritually.
This week brings us a welcome break to recommit. We've been heads-down, laser focused on the finish line and we may have forgotten to enjoy the journey - even if easy moments feel sparse or enjoyment of them feels cold and out of touch considering the state of the world.
Feeling some fatigue around our mission, this week offers a wholesome pit stop along the marathon route, where strangers, friends and family cheer us on.
As we take a pause, catch our breath and gain some fresh perspective, a water and a granola bar suddenly quiets mental thought loops and soothes our existential exhaustion. We eat, drink, and realize we were profoundly “hangry”.
We have to get right back out there and finish what we started, but now we have a little more gas in the tank, bolstered by community support and some necessary nourishment for our bodies and souls.
